Before I even talk about this wedding, I have to brag on the beautiful bride, Sandra. The first time I met with Sandra at Mozart's in Austin, I immediately knew this would be an incredible friendship. Sandra's maid of honor said something in her toast, and although it may not be verbatim, she said something along the lines of the following. "Sandra is one of those people that no matter who you are, she makes you feel like the most important person in the world." This couldn't be more truthful, and Sandra truly blesses everyone she knows and meets.
Now, this GORGEOUS wedding! First of all, if you don't know how much I love brunch, then know this about me. I LOVE BRUNCH. And as this was a brunch wedding, of course I loved it and all of the spectacular details. Mimosas, sparkly shoes, the GORGEOUS chair backs with greenery, the dress, organic cake, chicken and waffles, precious place cards for each food item, and so much more. But what gets me more than anything is the relationship between Sandra and her dad. They have always been close, but a couple of months ago, her dad got into a terrible bicycle accident. Not only did they not know if he was going to make it, but the possibility of him walking Sandra down the aisle and dancing with her was very slim. But by nothing other than the grace of God, he was as happy and alive as ever at the wedding! You can see in the photos of the father-daughter dance, tears were endlessly flowing. Talk about the grace and mercy of the Lord, He is so good!
Sandra, I cannot tell you how much I have loved becoming your friend and getting to know you and Thomas. I truly couldn't be more thankful for you and your incredible friendship, and I love you so much! (Yes, Sandra and I became so close we responded our emails with "I love you." It happens.)
Happy Monday everybody!
