Chelsea & Brandon | South Dakota Wedding
When I got in the car to drive home from this wedding, I wept. I absolutely broke down in my car. God bless Ashlen, my second shooter, who had to console me the entire drive home.
When Chelsea booked me for her wedding, I knew this was one of those weddings that wasn't just going to be good, fun, or pretty. I knew I was lucky. Lucky that she and Brandon chose me.
So I cried, a lot, on that car ride home. I cried out of joy for their new marriage. I cried out of relief that with a 100% chance of rain, we had a rain-free wedding. I cried out of grief, that what if I never saw this amazing group of people again? I cried out of thankfulness.
Chelsea and Brandon are one of the most special couples I've ever met. I wish I had a clever metaphor to explain how big their hearts are, so feel free to insert your own. They both feel, and they feel deeply. Their passion, their energy, their joy, it's on fire like nothing I've ever seen. A kind of love that makes me look at my own life and think, "I can learn something from that."
Most of all, Chelsea and Brandon, they are brave. Brandon serves in our Air Force, and was deployed just a couple weeks after their wedding. I know it takes a strong kind of love to survive oceans away, and if anyone can face the challenge, it's you two, my loves. Chelsea, you are far braver of a wife than I will ever be.
And none of this even touches on their wedding day! Which, if I haven't made clear, was absolutely incredible. I will take this moment to praise Mother Nature and God that it DID NOT RAIN HALLELUJAH.
Chelsea and Brandon, I will never be thankful enough for the joy and gift your wedding day brought me. My love letter to you is spread through the images I was so proud to create for you. And Brandon, thank you for serving our country.
